But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I’ll echo that Hopeful Barb , very scary, hope you are somewhere safe.
Your daily walks are such a great idea moomy , I’m such a fan of getting out!
Have been thinking of you, Lacomtekp , your dear mum had become such a part of your everyday life, thanks to your wonderful care of her in her last years. So many happy memories I’m sure.
Love and hugs, HFxx
I think there was yet more rain overnight, quite glad of my recent purchase of waterproof walking shoes, bought during my holiday near Cromer.

Oh thank you Moony, This is unprecedented to have another hurricane so soon after just going through. Kind of like an apocalypse. We have moved the items that were not damaged by Hurricane Helene. So that is about all we can do. It is frightening to go through a natural disaster but all in all we made it through. We are at my son’s place but he is working as is a Lieutenant in fire department. His girl friend is here and they have 2 cats and her brothers 2 dogs are here too because of the storm.. One of the cats bit me but now he likes me. I love animals and they are a comfort. Well we will see what happens with Hurricane Milton.
Hugs to you.
Barbara
Rest assured we will be thinking of you all, Hopeful Barb , so glad to know your safe this far

So glad that surgery is done, now to enjoy putting eye drops in 4 times a day for a month, not washing my hair for 2 weeks (I’ve already arranged to go to my hairdresser in a week as she can wash with me reclining backwards, keeping my eye dry) no bending or lifting for 2 weeks either! Ha!

We made it through this hurricane fine with no storm surge. Storm was south of us so those poor people it is awful. We are healthy but the stress level is high.
Thank you for checking .
