But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

You sometimes have to do things Moomy to just make you feel like you and happy. Time of year isnt great with bugs etc is it. Only so much you can live in a bubble. Im pre op again so the bubble must remain and just thinking like its a covid like christmas again, we got over that blip in our lives, we'll get over this one again.
My husband has just sent videos and photos. That was lovely. Even though he battled with a pillar to get both children in shot
i had a talk with one bcn, I might ring them just to discuss again x

What a change 24 hours makes, so wet and windy today! Son and son in law have gone for their ‘second Christmas’ a shade reluctantly (sons sister in law is hard to cope with!)
we are doing a jigsaw puzzle and playing games, wondering if the weather will ease enough to take Henry-dog for a walk in a couple of hours….

Storm here in north wales tonight, howling wind, crazy thunder, the whole house lit up with lightning. Daughter was in the shower and freaked out with the hailstones on the roof - thought the shower was exploding! Son didnt realise - xbox game blaring in his headphones!
Call from assistant practitioner in the bc team tomorrow plus flu jab.
Had a good lunch of leftovers- last lot- hubby made a bubble and squeak type thing, delicious. Enjoyed a bit of christmas cake today. Just a turkey salad wrap for supper. Not a lot of fruit today so need to get back on it tomorrow with that. But a lot of veg was consumed. Turkey, sweet potato and lentil curry tomorrow on the to do. Frozen some turkey slices too.

Bless you Ninsim . I came home with some ham (I’d bought a big one from Waitrose, it was incredibly moist, tender and tasty) to make a leek, carrot and parsnip base to a crumble. (Recipe found on ‘Good Food’ website)
Im safe home, it was a bit gusty but nothing like the high winds of yesterday. And it’s fairly dry too. Our local single track road (cuts off the through town drive with its speed humps) was open with no floods, but the river is very high, just not yet over onto the road.
I’ve sent some flowers in thanks to daughter and housemate…
