Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Today was my first walk with the wheelchair. I thought we would walk up to the chateau but I chose the one path up that had bollards and drainage grills at the start. It was impossible to get the chair through so we just walked around the old streets zigzagging about. However, there were cobbles on all footpaths. Very pretty but.....I suddenly realised how difficult it must be for mum's with pushchairs as well as people like mum in a wheelchair.....mum bumped around in the chair!
We will have to try a different strategy tomorrow. .
Well done HappyFeet1! Yes I should have known people read more than one thread! Pah!xx
I totally agree with HappyFeet1,Mag123!
I am so sorry you had to feel that way!
oh I am so sad for you! Pleeeeeeseee cooooooome baaaaaaack xxx
Wheelchair access can be extremely difficult. I know how hard it can be just getting the pram down the steps at our local park so I feel for you Lacomtekp.
I am lying in bed listening to the neighbours have the most beautiful tree taken down and chipped. I am so upset. Nothing wrong with the tree. They just don't like it. But it has been there for over 100 years!!
Photo is from my walk round Hampton Castle Gardens 2 weeks ago.
That sounds really sad, Mag123, trees are our life-blood. But sometimes they do get too big. Daughter and partner have a huge ash and are looking to get tree surgeons in to just reduce size, as it’s grown even in the year they’ve been there.
hugs xxx

Hi Lacomtekp why do you break up daffodil bulbs, not heard that before…
hope you have better day with your mum.
mag123 do continue to share here, be lovely to read your tales.
I had ZA yesterday so a bit washed out today. At oncologist appt yesterday (a busy day!) I’m having Tumour Markers to set a base line, they’ve only done that once before. Also another CT in 3 months, latest CT showed no change, yay! Not sure why all the attention though if no change on my secondaries, do they know something I don’t?
anyway I’m painting again, a bit abstract for me but good backgrounds for words on top, a poem or something…. It’s one of my go to’s when I’m feeling like I am.
