Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.

Sadly this is the bone dry river bed . Was a running river three weeks ago ….".
Dexter go to place in the heat his cool mat

I’d love to pinch that cool pad, Northerner!
walked to and from the dentist this morning (thank goodness for a 10 am appointment before it got too warm!)

Moomy
Hi,I like the cool pad too,and bought one for my friend Friend’s little dog,but in fact several times wanted to use it myself!
Speaking of Her,her daughter is going to have another mole looked at for ca this week.So concerned for her.
yesterday I went on a lovely day trip to Burghley House.I was quite concerned in case it might be too hot,so stayed in the house all afternoon, having copious cups of tea!I actually found a parasol in the shop too!
saw some beautiful embroidery’s on the walls too and really enjoyed it.
hope all are getting on well.
Violetsniff xx

Lovely photos everyone, definitely need that cool pad Northerner! Dexter looks very content. Like your parasol Violetsniff and it looks so summery with your dress. Had a lovely morning walk with friend earlier in the week, ending up in a local cafe for coffee and cake. Shortish walk due to the heat but mostly shady as we left early. Animal photos - hairy cows and spot the cutest donkey foal! Difficult to see but I promise it’s there! They were understandably lurking in the shade of the trees, far from the fence, but hopefully when it’s cooler they’ll come over for a pat. Love to all, HFxx

Very summery Violetsniff also very sensible to use a parasol
Love the parasol Violetsniff
and hairy beasts HappyFeet1
not been doing as much walking in the heat

this was the other week.
“ The only constant thing in life is change “
Thankyou.
i am looking through my photos from the other day and found one from the coach window. Can you see the hidden swan?xx
Yes I see your swan Violetsniff, by the lake, to the left of the tree! Lovely photo. Xx
Great to see you back on the thread Flossie25, looks cool in the trees. No long walks for me in this heat. Dog has her lunchtime walk at 10am! She has a morning walk around 7.30/8 so it’s a bit daft taking her out again so soon, but too hot later. She won’t do anything at all in our garden so has to be out to ‘toilet’. Next walk will be this evening. All short.
This photo is some fab fungus from my Nordic walk on Wednesday morning. Was mainly in woods so quite bearable, and ended in a pub which was a bonus!
