Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Went for a walk again today, just over 2 miles with hubs wheeling as well, both enjoyed the break.

Moomy
Glad you’re still braving the walks moomy despite the covidiots! And Violetsniff I am in awe of your sewing skills, transforming bits and bobs into children’s clothes.
We managed the canoeing yesterday! No capsizing, just peaceful paddling past a couple of seals and lots of wading birds, very idyllic. Although my arm on op side does ache a bit today. And today I braved the sea, lovely to swim again at last! Will try to post a view from the canoe. Love to all, HFxx

Wow,HappyFeet1..what a wonderful day,!
and Thankyou for your kind comments xxx
you make me feel lazy! I'm so glad you had nice calm weather. Did you say Suffolk? I have many special childhood memories of Beccles....camping there every May bank holiday with the Camping club Folk Group. My parents only stopped dancing when they reached 90 years and Dad stopped driving!
My excuse for knitting instead of walking is the afternoon heat...35° expected today. So I used up the spare wool from the bed spread and made a patchwork jumper instead. What do you think? I know it won't be everyone's taste but fortunately I do suit colour and with plain jeans and a and polo underneath.......Anyway, that's what I've been doing, whilst watching the Tour de France, every afternoon.
Have a nice weekend. Safe journey home from holidays and short breaks. Happy sewing Violetsniff
Lacomtekp I love your jumper, it’s excellent. Very clever! Lovely pic of the canoe, we are lucky with this weather at the moment. There is nothing like a swim in the sea!
Had a nice walk last weekend and saw this huge fungus like a little seat. Well it seems I can’t put the pic up as the photo icon has disappeared. Good then. Blessed revamped forum. Grrrrr!
Lovely,!....
oh@Lancomtekp....I LOVE your patchwork jumper!,,it has made me think maybe I could make one!xxlove to all x
Hi all, love the patchwork jumper Lacomtekp, great colours! Yes we’re in Suffolk, the canoeing was near Iken, near Snape Maltings. We swam yesterday at Dunwich, and were on the beach at Aldeburgh this morning near the Maggie Hambling shell. The sea was really calm but I opted out of swimming this time. We didn’t have long and I’m very slow to get in! This afternoon was walking time through woods nearby. Very peaceful. Will try to post a photo of the beach as well as fungi from another day. Sorry you couldn’t post yours , it’s so maddening. Love to all, HFxx

Beautiful photos....the sea scape is stunning. No wonder you enjoyed your swim......
Hurray!!!!!!️
lovely...and enormous!!
and @Lacomptekp....loving the pics!!oh-to be by the sea......
*sigh*
I have found,by pure accident, that if you go to post a photo, and the wrong access comes up,if you press refresh and go back to your reply...the correct one comes up.
