Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi everyone,
I hope you don’t mind me posting here, it’s Tom from the Community Team. We just wanted to let you know that ‘yellowroses’ is having issues posting on the site at the moment, but she wanted to pass on this message:
“Please pass on my warm and affectionate good wishes to all ‘walkers’ for their continued health and, hopefully, their remission from cancer.”
If anyone would like to respond to her, please feel free to contact community@macmillan.org.uk and we can pass the message on for you.
Kindest Regards,
Tom
Macmillan Community Team
Please give
@yellowroses my love x
Hi , I’ve sent a message to you via the link on the post from Tom, fingers crossed that you get it but who knows on this site at the moment! Hope you’re still walking, I’m just back from a lovely break in Suffolk where I managed a swim in the sea - first and probably last for this year!
Will have photos later I hope - walking to the next town and back with a friend. Love to all, HFxx
Well done HappyFeet. I also had a swim in the sea yesterday, it was so refreshing!
Have a good day everyone, hope you get out in the sunshine.
Lovely xx
I went on a boat ride yesterday!Just took the notion!Maybe be one of our last sunny days!the boat tipped up! ( only joking) x
Walk into town with hubs wheeling, went all the way to the end, so over 2 miles! Bought some liver for our dinner (we both like it!), cauliflower, strawberries, oh and spare extra sunglasses!
Collected my outstanding prescriptions and it seems our pharmacy have begun flu jabs this week, so we will pop up later (they close 1-2 for lunch)
Hugs xxx
Moomy

Great walking moomy, it’s amazing how it all clocks up! Good you’ve had your flu jabs, am checking local chemists as I don’t usually get called that quickly by GP. Probably best just to pay to be done sooner rather than later. Your boat trip looks idyllic Violetsniff, so peaceful on the river. How lovely to be able to do that near home. Great beach photo , I’d love to live near the sea. We have lovely countryside around us but sadly no sea!
Walked to next town and back yesterday, outdoor lunch at a pub which seemed very Covid aware. Just a couple of photos- tree fungi and a tree that has grown like a harp - think it’s a hornbeam?
Love to all, HFxx don’t know why the first photo has posted at the top?? And the second - just as I think the site is just about manageable it just does its own thing.... is it really to hard to putt back as it was????
I doubt they are capable, going on their efforts so far. Everyone knows you work on a copy off line, test it then go live. The fact they haven't put one requested error right questions their abilities in my opinion.
It's ages since I posted on this thread, but I wanted to see if I could!!! Why can't I do a reply to the thread in general, rather than to a specific person?
Anyway, during my evening walk last night, I found some sloe trees with loads of sloes on. They were tucked away behind the path I usually go on. So we went off this afternoon armed with bags to pick some. We always found doggy bags were the best, but we don't have dogs now so had to manage with flimsy plastic food bags. Picked a couple of bagfulls and now I need to add a big bottle of gin to our Sainsburys online delivery. Husband very happy!!!
Now to see if it'll post. Having seen some people reporting their posts disappear when they click Reply, I think I'll copy it just in case. Here goes .......
