Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Thanks moomy, tracked down pocket size torch so was better illuminated yesterday.... did another dark walk along the towpath with friend. We couldn’t walk earlier so in the dark it had to be! We managed our lovely walk to next town and back, cafes shut so pub it had to be, green tea for me and wine for friend. Back home in time for slightly late dinner, 15,000 steps done! We’ve decided the next variation should be an early morning departure then breakfast before walking back. Sunrise would be nice but possibly over ambitious as neither of us seem to be good early risers if it’s not for work....
Happy Saturday to all, hope to have some photos from a daytime walk today! Love and hugs, HFxxx
Hi HappyFeet1,
it’s only 2 months till the clocks change, hopefully then your late walks will be in the light?!

Very true moomy! Have been noticing the longer days already. Yesterday had 2 lovely daytime walks, Nordic ‘adventure’ walk (rather than a ‘workout’) then met friend to continue, both around a local heath and marshes. Quite squishy underfoot in bits but still lovely, varied route through woods and by a river. Couple of photos....and yes the light was fading towards the end! Love to all, HFxx
Hi everyone, I've been following this thread and now that I (touch wood!) Am managing to cope with chemotherapy side effects I'm trying to put more effort into my walks. Thought the first daffodils would be a good photo to start with, and some wintery sunshine after days of rain. X
Wecome,Cheeboe...and what lovely countryfied photos!!
yes, thankfully the days are drawing out xxx
HappyFeet1...love your second pic...Xx
Thank you walkers for sharing such lovely Spring pictures, it’s a magical time of year.
it’s been mild and fairly sunny here this weekend so I have tried to be outside as much as poss, did some garden jobs earlier and let the hens out for a runaround.
Nice walk this afternoon and saw this spot.
I just LOVE spring, and wish it lasted so much longer!
beautiful

Lovely heath walk today, practised mindfulness techniques whilst sitting on a bench watching the sunset.
No photos showing but I think they’ve uploaded! Always a struggle on my phone.... Wishing all a happy week, HFxx
