Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Ooo!!that tree is a bit of a big old monster!!beautiful!!
yes @moomie sometimes we have to rest too.
re my saga with the GP,
I went to see the other one today. He was different from the other one as chalk and cheese!!(in fact I think I am a little bit in love with him)
it turns out I have a folate deficiency....nothing serious...but it does explain some of my tiredness ....so have some folic acid supplement tablets ....am adding more foods containing this to my diet too.Fortunately that includes salmon and asparagus....mmmmm......My favourites
I read out my list of symptoms to him as I did to the other one,and he listened and discussed all with me,offering help with each symptom.
he was wonderful.
GP’s are fab!!Xxxxxx
oh...my walking today was incurred by my walking to my early morning appointment, follwed by a cappuccino in a Hotel(nowhere else was open at 0830!,)and a little light shopping.Just to say...there weren’t many about and it was such a nice time for a walk.Xxx
Hi Violetsniff,
so glad there’s a specific reason for the tiredness! Now hopefully you’ll begin to improve....

Hi all, lovely flower photos moomy, so nice to see the forerunners of spring!
Had decent walk yesterday with friend, 13,000 steps but no idea how far as I don’t know how to record it on my phone. Blue skies and patches of snowdrops...
Hopefully both photos uploaded, not clear on my phone but fingers crossed! Love to all, HFxx
Lovely to see the crocus and snow drops, they are full of promise!
My walk went wrong today. I drove somewhere local to get my car cleaned at a hand car wash place and checked the map, saw there was a public foot path just further up the road so thought I would take the dog for a walk whilst they were doing my car.
I went the wrong way so ended up walking 25 mins along a busy main road! We did detour along a farm drive for some respite from the traffic.
HI all, the photo looks very peaceful but that was obviously the only peaceful section of your walk! I think my own sense of direction is worse than ever on Anastrozole, I was never great but now I’m hopeless!
Nordic walking ‘workout’ yesterday morning was definitely that - lots of uphill work and lunges, not to mention stretches - I am aching all over today which I guess means it was waking up muscles I’d forgotten I even had! Topped it all up with late afternoon walk along the towpath with a friend, quite lovely in the dark although I think we need head torches as my phone battery is rubbish. No photos....
Happy Friday to all, HFxx
Hi HappyFeet1,
phone torches aren’t that good, you need either a real torch or indeed, a head torch as you said, but if you’re with a friend, and chatting while walking, don’t turn to face otherwise you’ll blind each other!
