Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Well done you
Do I remember rightly that you live in the North ?
There are runners on here and also Nordic walkers . We have all been were you are .
Hopefully it won't be too long before you get back to running .

I’ve just been catching up with you all, my last post was a week ago and you have all been doing so much. I’ve really enjoyed all your pics and news.
This thread is my favourite, I love the way we share what we’ve done and also when we want to but can’t quite get the motivation or energy to get up and do it.
Also it inspires me to notice things more when I am out so I try and post a pic every time.
Thank you Leolady I wonder what our collective miles would add up to now, we have probably done enough to get right round the world between us!
Went to a wood fair yesterday which was lovely, great to be outside all day in the sunshine.
What a great picture,,and I always enjoy your posts.
love that you are feeling inspired to notice things more.
Well,I have spent a happy overnighter with my cousin yesterday, which (in theory!)involves a straight train from me to hers, but in fact took an hour longer as trains cancelled ,late, stopped abruptly...you name it...So was very exhausted when finally arrived home....anyway...enough about that....
we went to visit a Carpet making Museum in Kidderminster where we both lived once, and it was much more interesting than it sounds,as these things so often are.
On the way back she had to go off and do something about the parking so asked me to go back to the car as my hip was a bit sore...and I had to navigate a fence thingy .well in fact it took me three goes and had to stop myself falling headfirst at one point, ended up sitting on it and doing a sort of high kick twice.Goodness, she has lovely long legs and says I dont look like a Senior, but I felt exactly like I just wasn’t a young 20 year old any more.!
anyway I had some dog-stroking therapy with their beautiful grayhound, when I got back so made it all worthwhike!!He is so big and doesnt actually move,so had to lie sideways to stroke his lovely tummyX
