Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Morning all, great photos and video, as a group we certainly get around! Welcome back Flossie25, hope you’re not too jet lagged. Nordic walking this week involved a lot of stretching and cardio exercises, including using what I misheard to be smoothie rings. When I googled them later, had to get past a lot of liquidisers and other intriguing machines to reach the ‘smovey’ rings website!! Definitely time for a hearing test. Was considering getting some till I discovered the price....I wonder if you came across them moomy? - I think you said somewhere that you were an OT? Anyway will try to post a picture of the logs we used for some of our exercises, I do like an outdoor gym!
And a tree on the turn from later walk ...
Hi HappyFeet,
no, that’s a new one on me! We did use therabands towards the end of my career but remember I retired years ago! I too had to google!

What a glorious day
I'm up near Ingelton having done about 3 miles by the RiverLunn. It's such a beautiful valley.
Had coffee and cake, so having a rest. There's a good chance I'll fall asleep when I stop typing.
Beaten by my four year old granddaughter who's walked eight miles today.
A bit surprised to see I've got quite a pink boob after only two treatments. Fingers crossed that's not going to be an issue.
I hope everyone is having a walk today even if it's only round the garden. It's far too nice to be inside.
Happy days and today I wouldn't rather be polishing a red arrow!
I've let the side down on walking today but I have driven 400km south and we have walked all four corners of this charming little town ( Limoux.....Of Blanquette fame if you drink sparkling white) looking for an open pharmacy as OH woke up with sore throat and blocked nose and felt the need for an inhaler. I was so glad to end up in the square for a coffee before driving up into the mountains for our B and B. Tomorrow we will go through the mountains and should be close to the coast by lunch time.
I’m new here! Am I right in saying this is where we post pics of our walks whilst trying to get on with life and maybe treatments?
Sure is

Ok not exactly a walk but this was my first effort. I’d found my lump and I was awaiting my appointment at the breast clinic. My doc told me to go and run the Great North Run ... so I did. Running for me is a huge mental stress buster. I will miss it and yes, I’m on the bottom pic x
