Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi all, some lovely photos, sorry you’re having building bother seaspirit44, hope it’s all soon over.
Ive been clocking up steps in Edinburgh between the downpours, lovely weather this morning so had walk near canal.
Progress seaspirit44..... glad your workmen are getting on with the work. ... my twangy hip doesn’t feel too bad...long haul flight might have helped rest it. Going to start some walking and gentle exercises from tomorrow so we’ll see
hugs xx

Oh dear...Twangy Hip!is that the clinical diagnosis??only joking but am sorry for you ...I have a hip which goes into spasm sometimes when I am walking or it is at a certain angle, and is so painful...I got into the bath last week and was in acute pain just to sit down.Thank goodness I could get myself out again.I do feel for people who live on their own in these situations...
well,I walked to Creative Writing again this morning, and thoroughly enjoyed it...not least because there are some nice characters there.
we had a “hot-pen” test to write something in 5-minutes,on.....she threw the dice....”a hand”,”a foot”,”a microphone”,”triangle”,and “keyhole”
I love things like that and wrote about someone looking through the keyhole and spying someone secretly practicing being a freemason...(what else could you do?)Then made a story into a riddle which seemed to go down well.
on the way back I spotted this small diarama which someone had made out of tin soldiers in their window...for anyone who might be interested in what a diarama is...a sort of little story or play made up with figures I think....I wondered whether there was a little old man living here who had a relative in this battle and it was a picture of wwhat happened to him....x
Know what you mean about hips Violetsniff..... I’ve definitely overstretched a little used tendon/muscle but I’m still mobile. Creative writing class sounds interesting.
I’ve been up, out and walked a bit (early morning here..pic on phone though..will try and upload later), done my BC exercises and done some stretching. I aim to do them at least twice a day with a little yoga or hiit thrown in for good measure.
Hugs xx

Oooooh ladies, you are good, especially Flossie, our walking this early! I didn’t sleep till way past midnight and then slept solidly till 9! So I’m only just sitting having coffee! (And a flush!)
it looks warm out there already, but maybe a walk after my breakfast?!
Hugs xxx
