Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
seaspirit44 .. see what you mean. Hope those workmen get cracking soon. It will be worth it though. I’m not looking forward to doing front room and a bathroom and that’s way less than your work. It does feel good once a job is finished though ... a sense of achievement.. and big relief
Walk to pharmacy this morning with twangy hip
Time for lunch

Flossie25, hope you get that twangy hip sorted.
Roof going on now, and skip arrived without warning this morning. DH had to scurry round the neighbours to get them to move their cars.I was still in PJs.
They are lovely lads though and getting on with it well xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
The slightly hazy look, I have just realised, is because I keep my phone in my bra and the lens is all fogged up! Xx

You shouldn't keep phones in bras as there is a theory that it can cause changes in breast tissue based on a number of young women being diagnosed with breast cancer and no family history. They apparently routinely lift kept their phones on their bras in ther area where it started....
I always put my phone in my bra when I went running, probably for about 1-2yrs until early this year and yes it was more or less where the cancer was I have no family history or high risk factors apart from being tall and overweight. In fact given I had 4 kids in my mid 20’s to 30’s and breast fed then all I should have been at reduced risk.
Asked the consultant who said there was no scientific link, Coincidence? Who knows, but I don’t do it now!
I’ve heard the vaguely possible risk of phones in bras, I always have had mine in a hip picket, check when I’m buying trousers (or very occasionally, a frock!) that there are pockets!
so again, my bc can only be as a result of 10 years of HRT!
Lol, Seaspirit! Maybe the next pics of your building work should be outside of your bra?

It's on my mastectomy side, and I put it down to 18 years of HRT and stress, and I had it in both breasts simultaneously. It's become a habit now, I do worry about the phone falling down the loo! Xx

Well,When I was going along to the gym,I found myself sitting on the bike next to a Student Nurse. She told me there was a theory now that where nurses keep putting their pens during duty could be a cause of cancer.wellI have to admit, one of my “lumps “was in that position on my breast!eeek....just saying.....(after years of hooking my pen there....)xx
Interesting! I try not to have my phone too close as much as possible, usually I put it in my back pocket of jeans.
Violetsniff well done for going to the gym.
Had a lovely walk today, warm and sunny.
That looks lovely, Amalie!
interesting about phones and pens too! I had a pen pocket in my OT tunic but it was an extra pocket inside the hip pocket. So no correlation there either.
