Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
And very much enjoyed today’s blue sky! Walked the dog locally, still some lovely autumn colours.

Walk at weekend.

Hi everyone. Today started off snowy, here in SE Scotland and now it's left a lot of slush. I had a parcel to collect and a bottle of red wine to buy (yes - no more than 5 units a week - my little indulgence). I had on my thick white ski jacket (used to be our daughter's but she happily gave it to me when she was 15 - I now love it!), walking boots and shopping trolley. The slushy pavements did make me feel a bit vulnerable, being only four months down the line after the end of my treatment. Still, I've never been so glad of the said jacket, and of the boots and trolley which helped to keep me steady. My parcel was a clock designed like a cross-section from a tree, which is now enjoying pride of place on the kitchen wall. Definitely today's walk back to happiness!
Was out much too early for my liking this morning, but bonus was the lovely sunrise on the way to the train station! Did some walking in London as I’d gone in for the Dignity in Dying demo at Parliament. Home by lunchtime for short dog walk, no photos from that as it was mainly round streets. Love to all, HFxx

You have taken such beautiful pictures this week. I loved the reflections on the river from your sunset. That was a cold start to your day too.
I have been able to walk again now I don't have mum in a wheelchair and go out every morning for a stroll once it's light before breakfast.
It hasn't been frosty but the mist rising in nearby valleys has been pretty.

Lovely photos ladies. I don’t have any to post as I didn’t think to take any when out although just walked in village. Did hiit this morning and I intend to do some form of exercise every morning, as well as walk. Fingers crossed I meet my goal.
