Once again I wish we had a smiley face to “react”.That misunderstanding re Snowys Mum Was just brilliant….
Loved it!
You have lots of friends ,@Snowys Mum …I guess I am just fortunate.But I have a sneaky inkling that people who once stood apart are now getting more open to knowing one another after many lonely lockdowns.The problem with being a nurse is that your social life is just battered by the unsocial hours you do.When working I only had every other weekend off…irregular shifts (nights and days in same week often)and for all that time it was impossible to do the normal things like night classes etc.,where regular attendance brought you closer to new people.
I think also being retired really is the “third age”because all of a sudden you have freedom you never had before.
People forget these things when they say nurse,say,or say, fire workers pay should be the same as ,say shop shifts etc.Not disparaging those at all,but more times than not you could know you had a Tuesday eveing free,say,and weekends,for instance.

I do hope the nurse from India does well @snowys mum (won’t let me tag). Hubbys family from Kerala. Great place. I once tried to learn the language, Malaylalam, but I was hopeless. Kept everyone in stitches but god knows what I was saying !!!

I get my CBD from Amazon. Very expensive, and I have to use a lot, but it works! Can’t take anything else apart from paracetamol..
Was at local waterpark thi am. Sad.y birds decimated by avian flu, 30 swans in the last 10 days. 12 still around, but several looking poorly. Only a handful of geese.
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
@seaspirit44 ... sad indeed.

Yes I’m sad for wild birds (except flying rats - pigeons) and it does seem that numbers really have gone down.

seaspirit44 ooooI think it worked!!!thanks Grogg !!
so,It is so sad that birds are getting bad with avian flu etc.We have a “swan-man”(swan-upper?)here and the local forum is always having people call him out for a duck,or swan in distress.
I was taking some photos on the bridge once,and looked upwards to climb up to it,and was face to face with a swan!yes,this gentleman had her on his bycycle,held closely with a proper swan bag,as someone had called him saying there was one in the road,looking injured.
He once came to do a talk with our Ladies Groups…I wasn’t there,but a swan flew into the building,and it was emergency Ward 10 for him!!(I think they follow him about)
Dicha ,I was so sorry to read that you are in so much pain.How horrid.I am sure the GP is on it.These days there are “Pain Clinics”where this could at least be addressed .
maybe your Surgery Nurse or GP could point you in that direction if unable to quell the pain.Oh dear.How horrid xxxPS,despite altering the autocorrect to what it should be,the last sentence should read “that direction”- but it is not having it!x
Dicha , as a follow-on from Violetsniff ‘s suggestion, yes, pain clinics are around but ask soon as referrals take FOR EVER! I was eventually seen about 8 or 9 months after referral, by which time I had adopted the CBD, plus regular paracetamol (you do need a regime of taking it 4 times a day) and a programme of self-prescribed exercise (walking and yoga)
Hope you find something that will help, and sooner rather than later.
