  • Hi Northerner, I did follow a you tube tutorial and managed a basic square but wasn't confident. I might have another go as I saw such a beautiful crochet long cardigan at tge shops on Saturday.

  • I think changing the zip pull sounds harder than putting a new zip in so I wish you the best of luck!

  • morning good for you ! I’m finding that knitting gives me pain in neck because I tend to hunch shoulders .
when I’ve finished the baby jkt I’m knitting (hopefully before Willow is too big for it Joy )I intend picking crochet hook up again or perhaps look at hessian I bought to do rug .
As long as we enjoy whatever  we decide to do .

  • Off to see consultant, last trip was a wash out as in so much pain from journey they would not commence chemo tablets. To be honest I’m not sure today will be any different but I’ve taken a top up dose of Oromorph to help me through.

Ill catch up on everyone’s posts when I’m back as looks to have been a chatty evening but I was asleep by 8pm.

Have a good day all you beautiful ladies xx

  • That's a good deal with RAC. We have a joint current account with nationwide which us a packaged one.  £13 a month for breakdown cover, plus works wide travel insurance ( with cover for pre existing conditions but have to ring), and mobile phone cover.  Used breakdown quite a lo5, it covered hubbies motorbikes too when he had them.  Had a replacement iPhone and until daughter left full time education she was covered too!

  • Hello,I have tried to put a reply on here but the little box disappears!

anywhow on now.Just to say ,Hugs …and

..interesting to Red your post regarding crafts for your Mum.

if you could phone up,or pop to,a craft shop, locally or online, they may give you some ideas for her.

i went in to a local one when given a lift and bought several crafts easier than knitting or sewing…like rugs with a loop OR tool to press in,mobile made with pulled wool, some paperwork…etc.

there are alternatives out there but it sounds like you will need to involve your Mum in decision making.

my mother went through this and I remembered she had loved embroidery and knitting.I tried to get her interested again…but no.

Often you “don’t feel like it”,but actually doing a little every day can re-awaken your interest and delight…I mean hers.

or take her round a local “Works” or “Hobbycraft”if you have one.

when we feel a bit down we sometimes need the inspiration of something new and novel….and EASy!!

    but we are all different!

well there we are…see what you think xx

  • Hi ladies.

    Sending hugs and

Love the look of loom knitting Well done on zip replacement

Im impressed with your negotiating skills my hubby does that. Might look at getting a mobile deal next time but need one with cheap calls to India.

Im motivated to get back to making something. I’ve a counted cross stitch which I started in 1990 but yet to finish !!

I don’t usually watch I’m a Celebrity ...  but I switched on last night. I might become addicted. Awaiting Matt Hancock to see if he gets nominated to do the awful trials. Hope there is no cruelty to animals/insects.

Popped into railway ticket office to use rail vouchers to buy tickets and it was closed in spite of the strike being called off 3 days ago. They are quick to walk out but slow to get back. Decided to buy tickets online as cheaper.

    Xx
