Violetsniff and LondonLass no scrumpy in the house, but we do have wine brandy gin and whisky....
It was a great meet-up in 2018 xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Glad you are getting out and meeting friends even though it was in mud and rain. Your spirit us amazing. I can just see the back of your head in that 2018 pic. Enjoyed talking to you that day.
You moan as much as you like, you are allowed! Xxxx

LP arrived very excited, had tea with us, and finished off DH’s stollen to his dismay. DH has forgiven him though, andhas been letting him ride on the trains. If he us ‘t careful he is going to be too big fir some of them, LP I mean of course! LP is asleep now, curled up on the bed. Strict instruction to stay quiet till 7am. We have hidden the alcohol. Xxxxx

Oooh, stollen! I don't blame him seaspirit44! Good luck tomorrow, and hopefully he'll not misbehave in the night:)
Puzzler, so glad that you finally managed to meet with friends after all this time. It must be a real boost to your mental health being able to meet up at last, if in a field! Coffee and mince pies sounds lovely. I think this winter will be interesting for outdoor meetings. I was chatting to a friend who told me she knows a few people who have erected gazebos with the pillar heaters inside in their gardens for when friends come. They couldn't do it during lockdown of course, but my friend now has a fire pit and gazebo too. Her son and two daughters all live in London still, but with the Christmas rules they would be 4 households so couldn't all meet inside. Her son is a doctor and will probably be working so the daughters with be the other two 'households' She had the virus as did her husband and son in April, so it seems a bit silly, but rules are rules I suppose.
I'm pretty sure that we have covid as my daughter didn't have any of the classic symptoms either, but did have a runny nose that she couldn't clear properly. We looked it up and apparently about 30% of cases have 'productive' coughs and nose blowing. I hope that we know tomorrow. I'm day 4, and my chest feels a bit better after 2 antibiotics so we'll see, but I've had swine flu in the past and that was awful.
Thanks Moomy. That's really interesting about your daughter. I cleaned my mother's carpet a few years ago and ended up sitting outside her flat calling an ambulance. I had an allergic reaction to the 'natural shampoo' which my then 9 year old daughter and 90+ year old mother were fine with. I had the nebulizer (they mixed in oxygen with it) and it was such a relief, before spending 2 hours sorting out my blood pressure which had fallen to about 100/60!
Good night all. Day 5 tomorrow......!
Good morning.........This is for you! I'm sure it will go well but my advice for 24 hours or so ...don't let the painkillers wear off before taking the next lot of paracetamol. I made that mistake first time. Oh....it's not that terrible but it did make a difference the second time when I started taking the six hourly paracetamol before the anaesthetic had worn off. By tonight you won't believe what you had stopped seeing!

your Ferrero puddings sound lovely and so much work. Lucky friends........I'm also pleased you got to meet your friends for a wet!......garden coffee. Where are you meeting next week?
We have sorted the water for now but it's ridiculous as the insurance will pay every time we get damage but we're not covered for the faulty tiles that the insurance paid for after the '99 hurricane!
My son might......just might....get his van part on Monday but Amazon has helped us get a full refund for the incompetence of the original order...firstly very late then incorrect. This time we are buying direct from a manufacturer in Dalston who my son spoke with at length before it was ordered and sent.
So, it's still very wet, bordering on cold and very dark this morning. I am going to finish my knitting...pullover for son no2 who teaches in London. We won't see him this Christmas.....
Have a good day all. Hope the chemo effects are passing on all those who had some in the last day or so. There were several of you this week......
Londonmumof2...thinking of you. moomy....how's the leg?
Love Karen
Morning dry but chilly morning . Not much planned today .
ENJOY all you do today
Morning all.
Having a lazy start to the morning, but ought to get going, and out for a walk while it’s dry.
I rang BCN yesterday about the fitting. She was very nice and understanding, and said obviously I needed to try some different sizes, so a new appointment has been made, but not til 21st January. So I can forget about all that for now.
i might investigate the been a boob which someone suggested, but still no idea how to size it!
Have a good day everyone,
Judith
