Hi
Glad your sickness is passing . When my hair first started to shed I used a bamboo sleep cap to stop hair on pillow . It also stops some loss because it stops the rubbing of scalp against pillow .
Also mine that short didn't use comb or brush just fingers . Might help keep a bit longer might not cos we all diff

however ‘prepared’ we think we are, when that hair starts to go it’s VERY distressing! If you need to cry then cry, don’t feel you can’t because you knew this was going to happen. It is sad and tough, but once the hair is gone you will find the strength to get a wig or scarf and to learn to live with this ‘new’ look for the coming months! Just remember it’s not forever.......unless you suit the bald look!!

Hi Jess,
I remember daughter feeling incredibly bad about hers the first couple of times she lost it, as a freelance brass musician a ‘stage look’ is important. But it grows back, honestly, it’s a blip in your life......Have they prescribed you Emend as antinausea? As that’s the best, apparently.

Hmmmmm, LondonLass, perhaps you need longer holidays? Like, constant ones?

Thanks for the hair support! I have tried out my headscarf-turban for the first time, and I actually like the look. So I have cheered up a bit now!
I'm currently at the hospital...meh. My tummy is all swelled up with fluid because my abdominal lymph nodes aren't draining properly so I had to come in to get it checked out. They have decided that they need to drain it (yuk!) and I've just had a load of blood tests taken for good measure. Not feeling very comfortable and a bit fed up!

Hoping they do the draining quickly so you don't have wait around feeling uncomfortable for a long time. Good news you liked the scarve/ turban though. In London I'm sure you looked very elegant and not at all out of place.
Londonlass......Can I have LP on the 30th please? Do you think he would fly or will he prefer the Eurostar/ TGV option? I need him because I have a series of quite unpleasant neurological tests to find out the exact damage. I don't think the neurologist will be able to do anything about it but at least there will be a record of what has happened for future reference.
