Thanks for keeping us in the loop, LondonLass, sad days. Made the mistake of reading your post in a cafe while my friend was in the loo, luckily we were leaving so shoved my sunglasses on and got myself together. Thanks for all you’ve done and are doing, Viv’s daughters will definitely know that she was dearly loved by us all. 

, it’s early days in grief terms, the loss of sweet Pia must still be very raw, give yourself time. But glad you’re planning to lavish your love on more little feline friends when the time is right. There are so many kittens and cats out there needing a wonderful home like yours.

Sad news about Viv. I'm LP will give her and her family all the love and hugs we all wish we could. 

Thanks Sal, (LondonLass) for keeping us updated, I hadn’t heard from Viv since Monday so I knew something must be amiss, she is such a lovely lady and as everyone has said, she and her family need all our love and support, we all need hugs at this time xx

Oh Sal LondonLass that post made me cry, when you said  Lucky Pants was with her to the end, crying now actually. I hope she sees the cushion, it was a beaut idea. This has made me think I should write something on Chloecat's Facebook page  about how she was one of us,and we met her and cared about her, in case her family read it. In fact I will WhatHappened said I should.

Thinking about Viv and hoping she is floating on a lovely cloud of meds with no pain and no fear xxxx

I am so glad to see you posting again, I nearly lost the plot when my dog died so I worry when people loose a beloved fur companion, especially us ladies who live on our own. Yes do get another kitty, when you feel able. Sending lots of love to you xxxx

Morning

Well I wasn't laid in a swamp last night. Laid under my tissue duvet,listening to the wind howling around the house. You'll all be very pleased that I'm swapping back to a normal duvet today. So that's a signal for another hot spell

Today is our last Friday with my granddaughter, she starts school on Monday. Where does the time go? It doesn't seem two minutes since we were woken up ,somewhere in France, by a very excited son. But as the song says,

" One more step along the world I go.

From the old, I travel to the new"

News this morning about HRT doesn't sound good! More guilt to add to the rest.

Enjoy your granddaughter 's last day......Shame the weather has deteriorated for it. We've hung on here to the heat and sunshine for another day or so. Monday is forecast for the arrival of Autumn....

I saw the report on the HRT too but a very sensible doctor commented on the fact that the percentage of cancers caused by it is actually no higher than all the other things like obesity and alcohol and smoking. So take your pick........I guess the only definite way to avoid it will be to curl up in your 'normal' duvet and hibernate for twenty or thirty years!

Alternatively,  we'll take your step and get on with the new life.
