courtlandcats Welcome Back and .......
And courtlandcats....
It really sounds as if you are going through a horrendous time! It might be a stupid suggestion but can they not offer some form of snug dressing so that the seroma can only grow so big?? Or would it spread inwardly?! Like I said probably a stupid question! Are you relaxing/resting, as i’m Sure if you overdo it, you can make things less likely to heal! It must be so frustrating!
sounds like you are having a rough time too! Sounds like you could both do with a bit of good luck! Let’s hope time really is a great healer!!
NOW TO GET ONE THING STRAIGHT! YOU ARE NOT JUMPING IN ON SOMEONE ELSES CONVERSATION,
THIS THREAD IS FOR ANYONE, WHO FINDS THEMSELF AWAKE AT STUPID O’CLOCK AND NEEDS A FRIENDLY PLACE TO POST, SO POST AWAY!
You can post day or night about everything and anything! We moan, we get angry, we share our frustrations, we support and care for each other but above all that and between the pain and tears, we HAVE A BLOODY GOOD LAUGH!
So please feel VERY welcome to post whatever you like! Today you may not feel like laughing, but someone might just say something that gives you a giggle, and who knows maybe laughter really is the best medicine!
If you look back through some of the posts you will see just how many people have posted! Yes there are regulars but there are also those who pop in and out! Your choice! But while you are here you are a ‘Fruit Loop’ and you will be looked after and supported by, not only a fantastic bunch of other ‘Fruit Loops’ but by their honorary mascot and friend to all.....
LUCKY PANTS aka LP!
See I told you we were Loopy! Look forward to getting to know you both!
Really hoping you are asleep now!

Hi
Have you got a firm sports bra on? Night and day. I got one and thought a soft bra was the most comfortable but they don't actually help because it gives the fluid space and that's not good. The other thing radiographer said as they were draining, most unpleasant, was are you doing too much. Now that's hard, how much is too much? BC nurse said best position is horizontal.
This is my second time. First time after lumpectomy and full node clearance it was a week in hospital with drains! Then I cam home and I sprung a bit of a leak. So went back to hospital. Smart @$$ doc examined me laid down and said." No there's no fluid, you'll be fine" I sat up as he walked away and brown gunk sprayed out in all directions. The nurse just rolled her eyes and called him back. Not a word of apology, nothing.
So things will seem pretty grim, But things do resolve themselves. Rest, firm bra and horizontal. Take pain relief and massage boob, not sure why but both times it helps.
You will get through this.
Thank you for your replies, LondonLassand @ xx
I’ve been wearing a tight crop top bra thing but I had to take it off tonight because the pressure was unbearable. I might have done too much initially but after the washout thing, I’ve tried to do as little as possible. But I should maybe have literally rested more?
The consultant doesn’t want to drain it again because it seems to make it worse not better.
Hi courtlandcats, I would say to keep the bra on as much as you can bear! Have they suggested heat pads or cooling pads? Not sure what’s best for a seroma!! But I definitely think draining it sounds like it hasn’t helped! I feel for you, but there’s not much else I can suggest, sorry!
On a more positive note, we are at least here to listen and we’ll NEVER run out of......
The BIGGEST virtual Hugs! Xxxxx
Hi all, just wanted to fill you all in. I had a message from Viv’s daughter this morning. Viv has been taken to the Hospice, as she wanted. Apparently she’s currently sleeping peacefully. LP is with her, holding her hand and will remain with her until the end.
He sends his love to you all. But apologises that he won’t be available for a while as Viv needs him!
I posted the cushion this morning and have explained to Viv’s Daughter that I have sent it and she has promised to pass it on to Viv! If nothing else her Daughters will see how much Viv was loved and supported on here!
I am feeling very tearful and managed to cry my way through acupuncture today! I know some of you will be feeling the same. So can I offer HUGS to all and remember however sad these times are, we have many many more Happy Times that makes this group so special.
LOVE YOU FRUIT LOOPS xxxx
