AWAKE.........

Ouch!

YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS!!!!

LAST NIGHT.........I woke up just once, to go to the loo. Then slept almost right through for 5hrs, I stirred a few times but didn't actually fully wake up! 

So now for the interesting bit, after struggling the last few days with MAJOR night and day sweats I decided to sit down and think about what's changed. Well the only thing was that I was taking a different brand of Venlafaxine, the drug to reduce hot flushes?? Well after discussing with Pharmacist she's written down the brand that has suited me the most, and said that will be the only brand dispensed! 

So after another rough day yesterday I decided I wouldn't take the Venlafaxine last night, as obviously at the moment I only have the one that I thought was causing major issues! Well guess who didn't have a single night sweat last night?!! Guess who slept better!!! I just can't believe it! (My victor meldew momen't) !!

MY PROBLEM NOW IS....it's not a drug you should just stop taking, so tonight I will need to take one :-( Don't think the other prescription will be in yet so I am left with having to take one of these! I suppose the one plus is I will be able to see If this is really the cause of my night time waking/sweats! Maybe just maybe I am passed the worst when it comes to hot flushes, of course I shouldn't speak too soon,  Fingers firmly crossed that today is a good hot flush free day today! But I won't get my hopes up!

HOPE I DIDN'T SPEAK TOO SOON..........just had a hot flush! Although it was a very mild, quick and normal one! Not the dripping with sweat......fingers crossed! Watch this space!

Hi wombat.23 the last injection I had before my ovary removal absolutely killed me. The nurse smiled and said does it hurt to which I said well yes that did !  So no you're not a wimp x

Oh My Goodness.........

So after a Good Nights sleep, my day was going along okay! Couple of hot flushes here and there, but nothing like it has been and no dripping with sweat! I was starting to feel that maybe just maybe life could be 'normal' again! I actually felt human.

Then the day took a U turn! Out walking this afternoon I had a voicemail left saying please contact the hospital appointment booking office URGENTLY! So I called them back, to be told we are very sorry but we need to cancel your appointment for tomorrow! We will be in touch with another date soon!!!

MAJOR MELTDOWN! This is approximately the 7th time it has been Cancelled/changed! I just lost it, asked her when I might eventually get this done as after this appointment I still need another and at this rate it'll be 2018 before its all done! Bloody good job I didn't want to start the Denosumab because I'd still be waiting! So I was put through to the manager and explained my health issues the number of cancellations etc and she said she would sort something and call me tomorrow, she apologised for all the messing around! I don't like playing the Cancer card, but the point is IF my scan was to show any changes I would NEED to be able to start the denosumab if I chose to, but that means all dental work being sorted!

So I come off the phone a bit upset, as I had geared myself up for this and now it was cancelled! 20 minutes later the phone rings! The hospital again, would you be able to come in for your CT scan tomorrow morning!!!! Well strangely enough I am now free! I am slightly worried, but trying not to get too worked up! What will be will be! 

Anyway that's my day!

I have had over a year of Zoladex now and every so often I have one that brings tears to my eyes! But that doesn't mean it will happen next time! So please don't panic! (((((((Hugs))))))

Karen, I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Happy to come along in your pocket, assuming it's not at the same time as my CT! But while I am lying there I shall think of you, in fact I will think of all you lovely ladies! Xxx

How frustrating Sal.

I don't mind the dentist normally, but I'd been putting off an extraction for over a year and ended up having to have it in a rush the week before starting chemo.

But good that your scan is so much sooner!!

You shouldn't have to have a meltdown to get it sorted. Glad they rang back.  Think they forget we still have a life to live.
