I have just been diagnosed and I am waiting for an operation date
Most of the posts on here are about or from men
I would love to hear from women who have had treatment
Hi and welcome. In short, I didn’t have any until I bled when I peed. This lasted two days including clots but then mysteriously disappeared. I attended to it straight away by going to the urgent care centre. I saw a consultant two weeks later and my journey started. I didn’t have any other discernible symptoms at all. Hope this is useful.
Hi Sansan,Welcome to the group. Are you getting any help with these symptoms ? You can pass blood with bladder cancer.I didn’t pass visible blood but found I couldn’t pass urine properly as the tumour was causing an obstruction. There is lots of support here.Jane
I am female! I had TURBT two days ago -- my second. The after effects-- constant need to pee and pain when you do-- are not really too bad, i would call it acute discomfort rather than pain. . Unfortunately I am considered too frail for an operation and anyway, the tumour has grown through the bladder wall so i will be having TURBT regularly until it becomes pointless. I will be 79 in a couple of weeks -- so I cannot really complain! I do hope you get good news from your biopsy.
