I have just been diagnosed and I am waiting for an operation date
Most of the posts on here are about or from men
I would love to hear from women who have had treatment
Hi Sansan,TURBT stands for trans urethral resection of bladder tumour. It’s where they look at the suspicious area and remove it for biopsy under general anaesthetic.Sometimes they might do laser treatment or diathermy where a small electric current is used to burn away the tumour/area.Usually you stay in hospital overnight and they put a catheter into the bladder. The catheter may come out the next day but some people have to keep them in for a few days.It sounds worse than it is.It’s more uncomfortable than painful and these effects wear off.I hope this helps.Love Jane x
Hi Sansan
Are you due to have any follow up appointments with the consultant for your vulva cancer? You should still be under their care if your treatment was last year, so are they aware of your bladder issues?

Yes I'm still under them. But I don't know they don't seem concerned. They sent me pads but told them I need to know what's going on because I cannot carry on like this I dread standing up cos I know I will wet my self I'm so saw iv had enough yes I have a infection had antibiotics but that's not solved it .
Yes, absolutely you do need to know what’s going on-it will be so unpleasant for you going through this. I would be pushing them to do further investigations if your antibiotics have not made a difference.
