Hi all - just wondering how long I need to be off work after my TURBT? Hard to plan! Thanks in advance
Hi Desertrose3. It takes up to 6 weeks post TURBT for the wound to heal, depending on how severe the cut was. In general, you are not recommended to do anything for at least 2 weeks. Then take it easy. All depends on your job. You may feel fine, but remember there will be an internal wound that can be aggravated. It will sting a bit for a few days post TURBT when peeing, but gradually gets better. Then the anxious wait for results which determine the next step. Best wishes.
Hi Desertrose3,Welcome from me too.If you can try to avoid any heavy lifting and bending for the first few weeks after the TURBT.Good luck,I hope it goes smoothly.Love & best wishes Jane.xx
