Hello all lovely people. Just a brief update. I’ve had a robotic RC with ileal conduit 8 days ago by a wonderful surgeon and his team. So far so good. Home now and recovering slowly though very weak. Taking it very easy but each day feels slight better. Thanks all so much for your invaluable advice and support so far. Without this forum this journey would’ve been incredibly hard. X

  • I have Skyrim - terrific game, very open ended. I play everything on easy story mode where possible. Horizon Zero Dawn is another great one that I have on the go.

When I was recovering, my ipad was a blessing, with all the solitaire games etc available. Also recall a PC game 'Escape from Rosecliff island' - find the objects hidden in the picture - which I played on a laptop.

Timing limit wasn't a problem for me as I had a toilet schedule to keep up with neo training. I can get lost in a book for too long sometimes, so like the idea of an alarm to keep moving (or these days, also, to look away from the screen...).

Hopeful, how did the shopping trip go? Glad you are doing so well.

  • Hi Teaswill. The shopping trip went just fine. I of course didn’t do any lifting, walked slowly but felt tired at the end of it. I can also get lost while playing games etc so have to remind myself to keep moving. X

  • good to hear the shopping trip went well hopeful.

    Much love Angela x

  • Timer was first suggested in hospital to remind me to empty my stoma bag. As I often don't realise how full it's getting when sitting down I still set if for that sometimes too.
