Cake, cake and more cake

Hello, most of our grandchildren have been taking part in the Macmillan bake a cake Cake charity day at school today. One school we were told raised £1500 today. As you can imagine with seven grandchildren we are inundated with CakeCakeCake Mrs Garviv has been baking all week. The children have worked so hard for a very worthy charity. It’s Friday. Yippee! I played golf this morning, collection this afternoon. Curry tonight chicken naga( hotSweat smile) for me. Peri Peri chicken thighs for Mrs Garviv. Plus the usual glass or two of something Wine glassBeer cooking music tonight John Fulbright. Enjoy the weekend all. Garviv

    Yes, I've not bothered much with M. fundraisers before though the school where I worked was big on them, after losing several staff members, one under 30. But now we have a younger family member with blood cancer I made sure to patronise our local Salvation Army M coffee morning this week.

  • Morning Garviv, what a wonderful thing raising money with cakes. its a win win, everyone loves a cake. love Lemon Drizzle myself. Chicken Naga , I must have a look at that recipe. I chuckled reading mrs garviv has peri chicken thighs, then read it properly with my glasses on haha. Have a lovely weekend, I see you drew Arsenal in the league cup !! should bring in a good crowd .

    Morning Angela, well spotted peri peri thighs! Be very careful with Naga curry it is very hot but a wonderful unique flavour. I use Mr Naga paste(carefully) try Naga at your favourite indian restaurant. More cake later my daughter is 48 ( where does time go?) and is going out with hubby and friends tonight. Mrs Garviv and I are grandchildren sitting with Barney the crazy Springer Spaniel. Looking forward to the Arsenal game. Watched Primemutton video on You tube City v Arsenal game. He went to an indian restaurant in Manchester that serves vegetarian curries etc and craft beers. Looked wonderful. Enjoy your weekend. Garviv

    I do like primemutton, I keep meaning to message him to go to the Indian I use, the food and service are an absolute treat. I shall investigate Naga, maybe too hot for me x
