Hello all,
as I may have mentioned I have a really bad relationship with junk food….so today walking home from BCG#5 I popped into M&S to pick up some bits for tonight…walking home I have to pass Macdonlads, by habit I walked in and ( on automatic) started to order a breakfast meal, I don’t know why this happened but when it came to ordering a drink I stopped and thought, WTF are you doing in here..it was like I was waking up, I picked up my shopping and walked out, went home and had some cheese on toast..
to the normal sane person no big deal, but to me it’s massive…I’m very proud of myself…my wife my doctors my CNS, my friends and family have all told me I need to lose some weight for health reasons. Today I really think I’ve taken a big step….
this probably sounds really weird to you guys, but what I’m trying to say is I did well today…
love to all
Nigel
Well done Nigel. There is no doubt that healthy eating (and plenty of water) are key factors for anyone recovering from cancer. Now I am almost 7 years since my Bladder Cancer diagnosis I continue to be mindful to keep my diet low sugars/starches and vitamin rich. Anything which will help my immune system to keep me fit is definitely on my list. xx. So maybe my encouragement to eat naughty things on BCG days wasn't very helpful unless you choose only to indulge ONLY on BCG dates? Love Hx
Hi Herothedog, ha ha ha I don’t (didn’t) need any encouragement for junk food…everyday was a treat day before the BC journey had even started. I got myself into this mess and I will get myself out of it…tonight I’m cooking a spicy prawn pilaff.
im cutting out, crisps, sweets, fizzy drinks junk food…when I get to a healthier weight then I can maybe have a treat again..I’m avoiding Pret…I think I’m keeping them in business…hahaha…walking everyday…there’s plenty of healthy snacks out there…I don’t need the junk….its either all or nothing with me…and thank you for all your help…
love to all Nigel..
Not Really weird. Bloody marvelous. Jordan Peterson often talks about breaking down difficult tasks into minute steps.
