Hi to you all its a while since ive been on here.. my hubby has had Bladder Cancer and had bcg which finished about 2 years ago He had high grade cis ..Hes been have regular 6 monthly camera and all been ok ..His recent on flagged up red patches ..So has had Biopsies ..It came back red velvety patches ..its been 2 weeks now and i phoned Hospital they said results are in awaiting a clinic appt .Do i take that as Good news or bad .Wish they would tell you Were both waiting phone to ring .Waiting is agony
Hi 1551, does your husband have a Clinical Nurse Specialist? If so I would phone in and ask them for info immediately. Waiting around agonising is awful, and does nobody any good. At my NHS hospital results from biopsies take about 2 weeks and then go to a multidisciplinary team to discuss before results are passed to patient. But if you have a Nurse Specialist who knows your husband's medical info, they can often pass on biopsy results over the phone. I think administrators can't give out results information. Do you have another clinic appointment booked in? Sending you and husband best wishes for the results. Hx
Hi thank you kind reply, when he was originally diagnosed 3 years ago yes he had numbers to phone ..This time was a routine camera and went in shortly after for Biopsies nobody gave any specialised number i have phoned Urology dept they said results are in and waiting a clinic appt .It says on his paperwork Red Velvety patches found and Mdt meeting .I today phoned Sec of gentleman who performed Biopsies and Voicemail thxs again
Hi my hubby is 75 in July he is a young 75 and is relatively fit..He is a positive person but Bladder Cancer is relentless until you get all clear,he was having such a good run,the anticipation after every camera but we were doing good .This has come as a hammer blow ..But may be ok ..Wish someone would get in touch ..its waiting worst time ..Thank you
Hi 1551,The waiting is horrible.Red patches due to inflammation are very common so fingers crossed it will be that rather than cancer.Sending my best wishes to you both.Jane x
