Soreness

Hi all

I was diagnosed in December last year with a Ta G2 no treatment afterwards, but have continued to be uncomfortable down below, very sore, I’ve had 2 10lb baby’s so know how to deal with that sort of pain and soreness. I’ve had several trips to the Doctors thinking it was an infection, but have come back negative. Friday I had my first cystoscope which was so painful due to being so sore anyway, but so very relieved it was clear. I’m my own worse enemy as I have urine dip sticks so test daily and it still shows blood. How long is there blood after a cystoscope ( not visible )

im so fortunate and so grateful I’m not having to deal with many of you are. My heart hurts for what has happened and happening to you.
As you my gather I’m struggling mentally, I’m half the person I used to be. Which scares me some what.

Since being diagnosed I eat basically to live, it’s basic to say the least. And only drink water, loads of it I sometimes think too much.
Has anyone else suffered with continuing soreness, or anyone have any ideas to ease the soreness.

Thank you

  • I could be wrong here, but don't the dipsticks merely show some sort of protein present? This could be blood and/or cells from an infection. It might be worth going back to the Drs and asking them to send your urine sample to the lab for 'proper' testing. There are a few uncommon bugs and only the lab can specify the antibiotic that will actually work if that's what you have got.

There's also the question of gut and vaginal flora, 'good bugs'. Antiseptic used around surgery could perhaps have upset the balance. There are capsules -always check with your pharmacist- that you take and the goodies are proven to migrate from one opening to the other, hopefully gently putting things right if you have imbalanced vaginal flora.

If you are drinking a lot it is probably better to have something that is electrolyte balanced. Many of us get on well with Robinson's Lemon Barley Water, properly diluted, which was recommended years back by my old GP. [not the 'fruit and' sort]

    Hope something there helps,

    Denby

  • Thank you Denby for your message.

The doctor sent the sample off, came back negative. Even before the cystoscope the urine was clear.
I will check with the Pharmacist if there are capsules that may help, maybe my emotional state is contributing to this, it’s 3 months now of just being really uncomfortable and sore.
The doctor did mention Barley water, but to boil up barley not the bottled. I’ll try the Robison lemon and barley.
    Thank you again
