Hi there, it’s a long time since I’ve posted on here so a bit of an update, 11 years ago I first went to the doctor with blood in my wee, turned out it was bladder cancer Pta grade 3, I had 15 BCGs then there was a world shortage so I didn’t have any more, I’ve been fine since then with check ups every 3 then 6 months last one November they wanted to discharge me but I asked for at least one more and they said ok. Now I have blood in my pee when I wipe so will get in touch with my CNS tomorrow as it’ll be impossible to get a doctors appointment but will call at doctors tomorrow to see if they’ll give me a water test to see if any infection.
Apart from that I’ve been fine but a lot of worry for my husband, he’s had kidney cancer 4 years ago luckily he was having yearly CT scans for that and they found stomach cancer and Lymphoma, he had his stomach out in Jan then back about the Lymphoma in April, he’s kinda OK at the moment but as you all can imagine we’re a bit fed up with cancer x
Oh wow what a relief, I have been thinking of you a lot and keeping your 11 year clear results in my mind in hope that I am as lucky as you. I am watching for results of red patches after my first camera, check after completing bcg treatment.
Did you have bcg treatment?
I am so pleased for you, it's great news.
Sorry Sue, just read that you did have 15 bcg treatments.
Hi sueCC, that sounds vey very hopeful, much rather problems that can be solved with antibiotics! Fingers crossed you can hang on to that marvellous 11 year NED record. It must have felt quite a wait for your results, often the worst bit. Sending you and your husband best wishes for good health into the future. Hx
Aww thanks everyone, you’re all so kind, as you know I’ve not been on this site for quite a time but it’s lovely to know you’re all there when needed. Yes Rily I do remember, it seems so long ago, I’m so pleased you’re doing the job of helping all of us and you’re doing it so well. I do keep popping in to see how you’re all getting on. Thanks again and anything wrong on the next dip test I’ll be sure to let you know x
