Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Hi,It’s sunny here so I did nearly 3 hours outside gathering leaves and tidying.I had the robin and blackbird for company.Noticed that another roof tile is half hanging off.The scaffolding costs so much but it’s too high for ladders at the back.Thawing out with a cup of tea and a lemon muffin.I hope you are all having a good weekend.Love Jane xx
Sunny here on Exmoor but freezing. My garden is smothered in silver birch branches and twigs blown from two mature birches by the Alwyn winds. Spent an hour clearing them yesterday and gave in when my hands started to ache from cold. There is definitely another two or three hours worth to clear. Now off to village Christmas Fair. Local people are so talented in what they produce to sell. I'm buying all my pressies there today. Zero carbon footprint from purchase to Santa. x
Hi Jane, so pleased the mammogram was clear...I'll have a little tipple in celebration later.
I made a coffee and walnut cake yesterday, I'm on annual leave tomorrow so I intend to bake cakes, pamper myself and start a new book.
Had a hectic weekend, I decided to sort the spare bedroom that hubby has been using as man cave so it is a room again. I know we haven't had anyone come to stay for such a long time now but now I'm fully vaccinated and we are having a family get together for hubby's 50th in a couple of weeks, someone might want to stop over.
Just on way home with a new double bed. Now just have to get rid of the singles
Sending love to all
Clare
Hi , try Freegle and Freecycle or British Heart Foundation or possibly local Hospice shop for people who will pick up the single beds for free and at a time convenient to you. Someone will be glad of them. To give away ie freegle/freecycle no firetags are needed
Hope the 50th plans are going well
Denby
Hi Denby.
I'll pop them on the village site tonight to see if anyone wants them if not ill pop them on the free site for the local towns.
My son bought a new bed last week and someone picked it up next day. I can't throw anything away. I posted 10 free board games yesterday and a family in isolation asked me to leave on their doorstep
Snowing here again....
Sending love to all
Clare
Hi Clare,You have been industrious.I expect you can find a good home for your single beds.I’ve been looking at some of the free sites today as I have stuff to rehome.I must get around to doing something about it all.I’ve put a load of my sisters bits in the corner of the room at the top of the house.I got fed up of looking at them downstairs.I’d like a less cluttered house though it is a lot emptier than it was.My aunt just rung and said that my uncle ( her elder brother) is not coping well at home.It is a concern,I saw him in August and he was looking much frailer. The trouble is he is as stubborn as mum,his elder sister and flatly refuses to have help.I hope you enjoy your annual leave.Love Jane xx
