Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
Just catching up on 40 messages! Great news for Annie (remember, don’t go Bodmin!). Jane, them allergies sound like a pain, completely agree with Hopeful. Been up to visit my recently diagnosed mum with dementia at the weekend. Was really nice as she’s still completely “with it” so put some skeletons to bed. She used to be a semi professional collector, that appears to have now developed into a heavy weight hoarder so aside from work I have something else to challenge me now! Best to all x
Thank you! Am so excited we are staying in a place overlooking Padstow, we can walk there in 20mins, am taking my cycle helmet as we want to hire bikes for the camel trail, and yes we are planning to ferry across to Rock, and do lots of walking,
I will be waving frantically through Exmoor!
Annie xx
Evening All as George Dixon used to say (Who remembers ?). Weather supposed to be a bit better over the next few days so we have someone coming tomorrow to paint the front of the house. Just the stone works around the windows. I've always done it myself in the past but it is an old 3 storey building and the wife won't let me go up high ladders anymore. I still feel up to it, but it is another reminder of getting on a bit. We know the guy doing it so got a decent price. Next door has been done and shows us up. Saying that, we need to downside soon and need the kerb appeal for any buyers, Best wishes,
Hi rily, Dixon of Dock Green was the Saturday night favourite in my childhood. I was heartbroken when it ended. If I was lucky I got an ice-cream soda in front of 9 inch TV. Glad to hear you aren't scrambling up 3 stories to paint, we have to face that we grow out of some jobs in our 70s. xx
Hello Rily, very wise. Ladders are a no no for me now. Mind you I get dizzy wearing two pairs of socks. Tell the painter not to step back and admire his handywork when he is 3 stories up. Hope the weather holds for you. We got a soaking in the golf competition this morning but now sunshine and blue sky. I remember George Dixon and the detective Andy. Garviv
