Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Thanks, it was, had the usual worry before but I’m sure that’s always going to be the case.  It’s definitely better weather, I have a tomato in the greenhouse that is about to go red that keeps me happy and hubby who always wears loads of jumpers/fleeces is starting to shed them, a sure sign that summer is on its way!  Jean x

  • Hi Jean,I’m really pleased for you and hubby. It does feel good to move onto longer gaps between checks. Here is my robin and a rose.I’ve been in the garden clearing today as the sun is out.Love Jane xx

  • Thanks Jane, I love robins, they always seems special, I love roses but mine always seem to get black spot, the flowers are pretty though x

  • Hello all. Not doing so good lately to be honest. My dog, who was diagnosed with diabetes, has been really poorly a couple of times, thought I was going to lose her. Insulin not regulated yet and she is being really naughty when I try to give her injections Added to that my Son-in-law, has had a major op to remove a tumour next to his vocal cord. Been in hospital for over two weeks, feeding tube in as, although he can swallow, it's not safe for him to eat yet. Trying to remain positive though. The feeding tube up his nose is causing all sorts of problems. Very sore and they have not been able to feed him today as his ph levels, whatever they are, were too high. They have a big meeting tomorrow with lots of specialists. He is hoping they can put another tube into his stomach. Also test results should be back. So drained with it all but, hey, I;m not the one going through all this. Jenny xx

  • Hi Jenny

I'm sending you a big virtual  hug . I'm so sorry to hear that you and your family are having a tough time. I do hope that you son in laws test results are good and that he makes a full recovery.Blue heart

As for your naughty dog, could you try to bribe her with a treat or a toy when she has her injection? It is so stressful when a lovely pet is poorly, they can't tell you how they feel. Sending her a doggy cuddle.

Hope your situation improves over the next few days.

Love to you and your family and doggy

    Ade xx

  • Hello Jane, sorry to hear John is unwell. I hope he feels better soon. Lovely pictures on a lovely day. It is dull and overcast with light rain here today. Going out with friends tonight to a Turkish restaurant. Looking forward to lamb kebabs, bulgar pilaf and Turkish bread. Not forgetting EFES beer. Have a nice weekend. Garviv

  • Thanks. It is nice to see flowers and have some better weather. My garden is mainly lawn and seems to be the favourite long term residence for ants. When the flying ants phase happens, it is fascinating but drives me indoors. I wonder if the local zoo needs a foster home for an ant eater? Best wishes for your house transactions and for better news for your partner.
