Monsoon conditions here.At least the grass is looking greener.I’ve had to cancel the burglar alarm engineer’s visit for later today.This is because the auctioneer let me down and there is too much stuff to move to get to the sensors.Love to you all Jane xx

Hi Denby,Yes it has had a knock on effect.My strict aunt had invited herself down next week.I think I shall have to put her off as the room she would be sleeping in is full.The lounge is full up too.I really don’t want to be moving things for her visit only to have to move them all again for the auctioneer.I’m feeling quite grief stricken today so not sure I could cope with her mentally either.It would be far better for my aunt to visit when I am a little further forward with everything.I don’t think she will be very pleased but it’s really not convenient.I feel like the character in Airplane where he says he picked the wrong week to quit drinking,glue sniffing etc.Ho hum as my friend would say,tomorrow may be a better day.Love Jane xx

Today I have started gathering up the extra items for auctioneers appraisal.I had to put off my aunt’s visit due to the change of plan but she was ok about it.I’ve asked my sister if she can come over and help move some stuff.Fingers crossed that will be happening on Thursday.I found more things under the stairs that I had forgotten about.I’ll be so glad when all this is over.I have found it much more stressful than I imagined.It has been emotional.The sun is out here and I wanted to put the washing out but my neighbour’s gardener has a bonfire going.Love to you all.Jane xx

It’s amazing what has turned up during all these months of sorting and clearing.Today I have found the signed photograph of the ballet dancer Anton Dolin that mum bought many years ago.I shall get it framed for my next home as it’s a striking photo.There are two huge boxes of old documents and ephemera to have looked at.Mum loved all these things as much as I do.I have to be practical though and sell most of it.xx
