Hi Denby,The pasting table would have been ideal but we haven’t had one for years.I found the screwdriver and have got the round kitchen table in the lounge.The top is weighed down by books.I have taken all the pictures down and stacked them up.I’m tired now so having a little rest on the sofa.I think there is too much to evaluate in one visit.There is a huge box of antique documents and ephemera downstairs.I don’t think I can carry anything else at the moment.I wish I had the stamina that I had before cancer.Thanks for your positive thoughts.It’s stopped raining and the sun is out.Love Jane xx

Oh well my hard work has been for nothing as auctioneer phoned to cancel.She is coming back on the 16th with a colleague.Fingers crossed everything can be appraised in one day.I shall do some family history instead,that is a good stress buster.Love Jane xx

And we went to pick up a couple of mats for our hall made by edge binding [whipping] offcuts of our bedroom carpet. Only to find the shop had shut well early. People who aren't where they are when they should be. Grr.

Yes  we had a similar storm at 6.00 pm. We are going to Liverpool tomorrow on  Northern Railways flash sale deals. £2.00 each return for 4 adults. No doubt we will find a Wetherspoons on our visit. Looking forward to seeing Anglican Cathedral again, The Philharmonic pub, Baltic market near the old Cain’s Brewery and the waterfront. Let’s hope the weather improves. Garviv
