Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Hi,I’ve been painting the upstairs bathroom today.Trying to take my mind off the situation between my sister and I and her despicable partner. It’s not working but I’ll have a fresher looking bathroom.I hope you all have a good weekend whatever you are doing.Love Jane xx

  • Hi,

Been doing a lot of similar things myself, as we're sprucing the place up prior to moving. The 6 moth check up cycle has started  blood tests Monday, and scan Friday week. Five years on, but still get a little anxiety.

It doesn't matter where you go, there you are
  • Hi Ian,Best wishes for your check ups. It’s hard not to get anxious.I have no idea where I will be moving yet.It will depend on how much I can get for the house. Now house clearance have been there is more room. There is still a mountain of stuff to be sorted, sold, disposed of.I have a lot to sort out next week but it will be easier now it’s cooler.I wasn’t well in the heat.Jane

  • Hi

Thanks, it has got easier of the years, but you always get a bit of tinge of anxiety. Luckily for us, we live in a desirable part of London and shouldn't have a problem selling. Early days yet.

  • I live in a row of seven Edwardian houses and as the longest resident have seen the houses sell quickly.Mine does need work though we have made some improvements over the years.I have to contact the estate agents for a valuation in its current condition.I will be sad to leave though I have been happy here and love the garden.Jane

  • Similar property, but we've had our property valued by the estate agent. Great neighbourhood and lively neighbours. Quite sad to go, but it's time to move on and start afresh.

  • Always a wobbly time. Fingers crossed for you IanW. x

  • Many thanks

  • Thanks for the hug H,it’s needed at the moment.I hope your animals are enjoying the cooler conditions ? I’m not sure the trees in the garden will survive, they are stressed having lost a lot of leaves already in the false autumn which the experts have been talking about.Jane

  • Hi Jane, much better temperatures here and some rain thank goodness. I have planted 6 baby trees this year and plan to plant another, a little oak, in the middle of my bottom paddock and fence round it to protect it from my goats. Ultimately it should spread some shade, but that may take a few years Slight smile I found it self seeded behind a shed in some blown-in soil in the cement yard. I've potted it on for the last couple of years and now it's ready to spread it's roots in the earth. I have had to water and weed diligently to give the little trees a chance in this challenging year, but us gardeners (and farmers) are never satisfied with the weather.
