Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
I might get to the dump tomorrow as my sister has offered to take some items over.I hope she won’t let me down again. The side of the house looks like Steptoe’s rag and bone yard. It’s drizzling here but not so hot.I hope you all have a good weekend.Love Jane xx
Hello Jane, I know at our local tip you have to pre-book a time slot, a leftover from the lockdown days. I assume different councils operate their own ways of working. We just have cloud cover but quite warm and pleasant. Take care, Chris
Hi Chris,I will check opening times beforehand but you don’t usually have to book.Ours used to be open most days but not since the pandemic. If we can’t go tomorrow then it will have to be the week after next when my sister has some time off.I’m just clearing my old bedroom and taking my sister’s things down to the end of the kitchen to try and get most of them together. My old room is quite a good size but it was hard to tell with the amount of clutter (not mine).I didn’t hear back from house clearance though there other firms I can try.I may hire a skip instead. My to do list will be turning into a novel if I don’t get some things ticked off it.Jane x
I can totally empathise with you. At times I looked at what we had to clear, it did feel insurmountable. My parents garage was rammed full of different bits and pieces. We made the effort of saving some of the more useful stuff, like tools (which I'll probably never use). In the end we got this clearance chap round. It took him barely an hour to clear it, it felt like a weight off of our shoulders. Failing that it would have had to be a skip and they're not so cheap these days.
It is hard work I know, especially when you have days where you don't feel like doing anything. You'll get there in the end I'm sure.
Thanks so much for your support.I do appreciate it.This week has been tough as I’ve really felt the grief of losing mum.I know that once items leave the house I will feel much better mentally.I’m doing this on my own and there are several people’s belongings as well as mum’s to deal with.I am quite a practical and organised person so it’s really a case of getting stuff from a to b.Not being able to drive has been a huge hindrance to progress.I will get there eventually. Is your bladder feeling any better ? Jane x
You're welcome. Must not let it overwhelm you. As it happens I'm in hospital tomorrow (yes a Sunday) to have biopsies done on some of my red bits. I'm hoping it's just inflammation, it's been there since my BCG treatment. It does play me up from time to time, today it's been behaving itself. I just hope it's not going to stir it up even more after tomorrow. Then it's that anxious wait we have all been through.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.I hope it will be as pain free as possible.Jane x
