Had Pet CT scan today and have MRI scan on Tuesday after completing treatment end of June. Today I received follow up appointment with oncologist for results, which isn't until early November. Is it normal to wait 5 weeks ? Thank you

It looks like my anal cancer has returned after 18 months clear. Waiting for biopsy results. surgeon has already said that APR surgery is the next step. Are there no other options? This recurrent tumour if cancerous is less than a cm in size.
