Do you think the flamigel was better than regular moisturiser? My hospital don't use it, only E45. I'm using Aveeno but could buy Flamigel I just don't know if its going yo work any better?

Sounds incredibly painful and so sorry you’re going through this. 
I initially used sudocrem but then added flamigel that had been kept in the fridge. This did help a bit 

I’m sorry your team haven’t given you any and I know from this forum that it varies wildly depending on where you are. I know it’s quite expensive to buy. I hope you manage to source some and get some relief. X

Hi Hal I started of using E45 as it was one of the moisturisers my hospital said was OK bit quite early on they said it was irritating my skin around the tops of my legs and groin area so I switched to aveeno, I found the blue one was the only one that worked for me. It was probably about week 2 can't remember the exact timescale and they told me to start using flamigel in the vaginal area, flaminal hydro tops of legs and groin area and flaminal forte for my bum hole . The hospital provided me with all of them, as to were they any better all I can say is my vaginal area came through unscathed, they definitely gave relief around my legs and groin and helped there and my bum hole heal up well after treatment finished. I was also provided with instillagel which makes everything numb for about half an hour which I used occasionally although it does sting a bit when applied. All the creams the hospital gave me are for radiotherapy issues so I assume they should be better. Don't know if that's any help or not. Xx

Just to add quickly - I found the cystitis remedies from chemist gave me a bit of relief, like cymalon or cystopurin, or Boots own brand. You might have radiation cystitis. x

I'm at the same point as you in my treatment  and feel the treatment is really starting to bite.

I am really sore above my anus.

The hospital  have given me gels and they do ease it for a while.

I'm glad you shared as I will also benefit from the advice.

Sorry to hear about your pain above your anus.. What gels did they give you out of interest? 

My hosp only use intrasite gel. I'm not sure if its a cost thing? 

Actually today I have woken up with a yellow green  vaginal discharge so am probably going to have to go to the GP on Monday to get a test. On top of everything else.

Hi, the hospital  gave me the Intrusive gel for the wet areas and Flaminal for the dry.

I also have the yellow / green discharge. My GP does not seem like he wants to be involved  they direct back to the  hospital.

On the feed back you was given, I have just ordered a shitz bath and the cooling perinum gel pads to ease the burn.

I have the sitz baths but am now  worried about cross infecting between anus and vagina ar the moment so I have also a little thing called a happypo which is a hand held douche  that I saw someone mention on here. Have started using that today Less sore than wiping!

Which cooling pads did you get? There are so many I got bamboozled.

I'm not sure what the infection is but I also have really inflamed side wall entrance to the vagina.its on fire like thrush but wrong colour. Do you have that too?
