The MRI shows the tumour has shrunk from 5 cm to 1.5 cm. I’m feeling quite low about that but the oncologist says the radiotherapy will continue working for up to 6 months. So I wait now for the 6- month post treatment MRI to see how much the tumour might continue to shrink.
I’d love to hear from anyone who has had further improvement ( or complete eradication) in that 3 - 6 month period please! I know how important it is to stay positive, but it sure is hard today.
Hi Franco
i had my MRI scan last week (3 months check) and I also have the fear the treatment hasn’t worked completely. Not helped by the MRI technician asking me afterwards had I started treatment yet At my 8 week review my oncologist reiterated they are looking for progress at 3 months and you have made great progress in reducing the tumour! Sending you strength for the next 3 months x
Hi Franco ,
my oncologist didn’t do the scans till 6 months post treatment as he said 3 months is too soon .. I felt very anxious waiting that long as I had no contact with the hospital
take care
Chrissie xx
I’m same as you Chrissie . Oncologist said digital examination at 3 months and scan at 6 months . X
That’s really interesting to know, thanks! Though I can imagine the wait was difficult.
Thanks for the encouragent, Mrs Vanilla! i’ll stay positive
