i spent today contacting insurance companies to get travel for my husband who has stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. This is being managed very successfully by The Royal Marsden using a single daily tablet.
None of the insurance companies Knew about or understood this treatment which tracks the cancer through blood yeasts rather than scans. Apparently scans are very important for the insurance sharks!
We were quoted £1700-£1500 for 4 weeks. We decided to live dangerously and do booked a Eurotunnel return trip today. At the end of the booking we were asked if we wanted holiday insurance I decided to give it a try. So 4 weeks for the two of us for .,,, £126!!’ Yes really.
The question they asked, which the specialists dIdn’t was simple.
‘Does your doctor support you travelling to Europe’
Of course our does so off we go.
We hope this information will help some of you to have a lovely holiday without ridiculously high insurance.
Hi Stacpollagh and welcome to the online community
