My husband has small cell lung cancer which has already spread to his bones, hes had chemo and is now just on a fluid to help keep it dormant. But in the last few weeks hes become more confused and his motor skills are not good. Today he almost looked like he was having a fit, almost looked like a robot moving and had difficulty beathing. This seemed to pass after i helped him to sit down, i found this very scary and emotional. He also has forgotton things and just stares at me. Has anyone else experienced this

  • Hi there , is there anyone you can contact regarding his symptoms? It sounds like he may need re assessed . Maybe the oncologist or a specialist nurse. I hope they can help. Good luck to you both x

Hi I've literally joined this group tonight because of similar issues with my mum she's 53 terminal sclc and has recently started acting strange and confused slower reactions ect. We've had no help or support since she finished chemo and radiotherapy and I'm totally lost and don't no where to turn. It's a really scary experience to go through. I'm sorry I can't be any help medical wise but I certainly do understand and hope your managing to look after yourself too? Take care hope you get the support you need x

  • I think you need to get her seem very soon by a doctor. She will need these symptoms investigated  sooner rather than later . Gp or consultant for urgent appt and write down all her new symptoms and keep repeating them til they understand . Good luck. It is such hard work , so tiring having to battle through all this . You could always phone her consultant s secretary to ask for an urgent review. X
