Hi,
I'm helping mum care for my dad who has terminal cancer. I'd really love to take him for a day out but I don't know how to go about it as he is now in a wheelchair and cannot transfer in/out of the car. Has anyone got any experience of hiring a car that can accommodate a wheelchair?
We have found a local taxi service to take him into town etc and they would do a longer trip but we are conscious that we'd probably end up paying for a full day of their time or 2 round trips, so it may be cheaper and more convenient to hire a car and drive him ourselves?
Any help is much appreciated
