I am Maggiemoo I have just found out I have lung cancer but there is a very big miss diagnosis. I had a hysterectomy and a fibroid removed,4 years ago the pathologist gave the all clear., it turns out it wasn't clear it was cancer.. So I have had cancer for 4 years and didn't realise. I went into hospital as I was coughing up blood. That when the found it in my lung but that is secondaries. The fibroid was cancerous so the pathologist is at fault. I'm finding thins really difficult as I have 2 sons aged 12 and 13. They tested the fibroid again and it was cancer all along x

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with secondary lung cancer and I can understand how scared and frustrated you feel right now.

As the Community is divided up into cancer specific groups I'm going to recommend a couple for you to join. You will then be able to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who will understand what you're going through.

The first is the Lung, Secondary Cancer Group - Discussion Forum and the second is the Womb (uterus) cancer forum. I have to admit that I've had to guess from what you've written that your primary cancer is womb, so if I've got that wrong please let me know and I'll give you a link to the appropriate group.

To join either or both of these groups just click on the links I've created which will take you to the groups. Once you've joined you can then start a new discussion and reply to existing posts.

When you have a minute it would be really helpful if you could pop a little about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you or trying to find someone with a similar diagnosis. If you're not sure what to write click on my username to read my profile.
