Hi all I am 2 years post cancer and doing ok, just a quick one I’m self employed and when I got cancer it was a real struggle because I had no kind of insurance, since I am ok fingers crossed at the moment I’m struggling to find life insurance because I have had cancer. Question is has anyone had any luck with finding a company that will cover you? Life insurance or health insurance incase something happens or it comes back?
Hi TaddIce534bb9 and welcome to the community.
Life Insurance can be a very challenging subject. I was first diagnosed way back in 1999 at 44 with my rare type of blood cancer…….. I did have an existing life insurance to cover my mortgage but once that was paid off the insurance stopped….. that was back in 2011…… I personally have not been about to get any other significant insurance over the past 25 years….. I tried an insurance broker but due to my cancer being classed as incurable, apart from these over 50s plans there was nothing for me.
I would suggest you look to talk with an insurance broker as they are best placed to see what is out there fir you.
