My father was diagnosed with a rare cancer 2 months ago. He had chemo and then got pneumonia and passed away last weekend. I have a lot to get through, I was there taking care of him through the whole process, my mother was distraught and I had to also help her deal with it and it's all been so sudden. I actually live out in the states and I have had to go back to see my husband and two children who I haven't seen for almost a month, but am very sad to leave my mum André brother. I hope to return as soon as I can. I don't know where to get support, but I was hoping for the right group and also if there might be one for those that live abroad? Any advice welcomed.
Hi
I am so terribly sorry to hear about your dad. It sounds like you’ve been an amazing support for your whole family. Now isn’t the moment but I hope you’ll be able to look back and feel proud of yourself. You must miss your husband and kids desperately. It’s time now for you to get some support yourself.
I don’t think we do have a group for people living abroad. We do have a group for people who have been bereaved. I think part of the beauty of this community is that it doesn’t matter where you are, you can join in as long as you have a phone/computer and internet.

I wish you all the best
Hello , I’m sorry to hear about your father, but would like to say welcome to the community. I’d like to suggest two groups to you, one for bereaved family and friends and one for people living abroad. Take a look at the links I’ve put in to see if they fit the bill, press the join the group and decide how often you want to be notified of posts to those groups and post when you are ready.
