Morning all, Just setting up a new chat thread for March. If you want to catch up on February's chat you can click here but it will be closed.
The chit chat thread is for:
"Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment."
Good morning Chris, glad you feel a bit better today. I dont seem to have read a book for ages, I think I must give it a go. Stella I have never been to Mallorca is it pretty there and how long is the flight? It certainly is a long flight to Johannesburg. Whereabouts are you going to in Zambia. I backpacked through Africa for eight months in my twentles it was amazing, saw the sliver back gorillas and lots of sights. It was amazing. Its grey and rainy here and I am still in bed. I have such a bad rash from the medication it is driving me crazy and have tried all sorts of creams but no help. I did try and phone the BCN on Friday but no reply. Will have to try tomorrow, I think they need to reduce my dose. I am scratching myself until I bleed. Anyway tomorrow will be a better day.

Hi Lee 2
Try to get some antihistamines- Allegra is the 3dr generation and most powerful one you can get over the counter. When I had bad rash suddenly, the doctor said to take 6!. I took 4 and that was enough.
Mallorca is a very pretty spanish island and about 2 1/2 hours flight. It is a big island and catering for all sorts of tourists. Palma is a lovely trendy major city. I like Soller in the mountains and Port soller near it at the beach. Soller has most excellent food. We just had a 4 course tasting menu for 45 euros each. Really excellent quality of food and raw ingredients. They tend to have only local and seasonal foods. Mainly Spanish and German tourists here. They tend to be cycling or hiking type. No so much partying British type here.
Hope you feel better soon x
Hi everyone, hope you all have a profitable week with your appointments, treatments. The sunny weather here has given to a haze-cloud mix but still warm enough to do something outdoors. Chris, I do hope that your consultation puts your mind at rest and Lee that you find a quick remedy to alleviate your symptoms. So now time to have a coffee and wake up for me
Patrick xx
Thank you I will be glad to see lunchtime my appointment is this morning .
weather a bit hazy here at the moment but it is early . I too am having a coffee and sitting here in the quiet . I have been awake early normal for me these days ( I used to sleep for ever never wanting to get up ) I wish everyone a good week and any appointments or issues that need sorting go well . X Chris
Hi Chris, good luck for your consultation today. I am thinking of you. I just had my regular phone appointment with Oncology and was told I am stable so far and treatment will just carry on as normal. At one point at the beginning of my diagnosis they were not enthusiastically optimistic . Over 3 years later and still stable so far.
Eddie, good luck for tomorrow’s consultation. Hope it will be kind to you and you can travel back for your holidays on Thursday, with your mind at ease.
Best wishes to everyone with appointments and the whole spectrum of treatments.
love Angie and Lilly xx
Thankyou .back from appointment all was ok no obvious lumps or bumps new consultant , mine has gone off for a year , he seems nice and had looked up my info which was encouraging will see me in eight weeks unless needed before. So onwards and upwards ( as was said on here not so long ago ) I will keep in mind all those with appointments and various treatments and hope this week turns out a good one
we have lovely sun today so might try and go out the garden for a little while x Chris
