I love it when the first signs of Spring are appearing. This, apart from tête a tête daffodils, the lovely star daffodil below is my first one in the garden this year, and before St. David's Day! And a beautiful, almost cloudless, sunny day yesterday.

Take care and stay safe everyone

Where do you keep the polo ponies Stuart?

Oh Norbs... They're down in the lower paddock just by the Marina where the 18 narrow boats are...

  • I think you're off track  and in the wrong space. Again. Unless you have spotted rare plants in the paddock in which case I'd advise you to move the ponies elsewhere. Ha ha ha.

Wrong thread,  mea culpa, apologies. SiT owns Cambridgeshire so is familiar with landowners terms. I'll get me coat.

  • Hi Stuart

My lawns are going to get their first cut soon. I would expect you to have a ride on and possibly cut your lawn faster than my son cuts mine.

I would have a couple of polytunnels as well as a few fruit trees and a soft fruit cage.

    Sound good Stuart?

  • Hi

Are you a lawn obsessive? Shame cos that space looks like it is crying out to be an orchard or a wild flower meadow - one cut per year and wild flowers and insects galore . But I know how many "people" ( read "men") are obsessed with their lawns and mowers. Beats me.

No, sorry. No flowers, no weeds, no ride-on mowers, no moss. I have a Honda rotary for the initial longer cuts, then an Atco cylinder for short cuts and striping. The Atco also accepts cartridges so that it can aerate, scarify, and brush the grass. I am very fussy about it all. When I am gone, Debbie is going to love letting it grow long and full of dandelions Joy
