So if you're on benefits, you may well qualify as part of the broader group which means that you will get £140 added to your electricity/gas account.
Always worth considering when you do your yearly supplier/tariff change to make sure the supplier is part of the scheme. I just recently changed and I didn't go for the cheapest tariff, instead I went for the third cheapest as the company was part of the scheme. So with the money added to the account, it worked out cheaper than the cheapest tariff.

It was great last year as I didn't worry when I felt a bit chilly, just whacked on the heating. And because of the credit, my gas and elec stayed at £25 a month for the year. I think I have a £7 debit to pay as I recently changed and haven't had final bills yet.
So def look into it and see if you're eligible!
