Hi everyone, below is the UK Tree of the Year 2026 in Newcastle Co Down in the Mourne Mountains. It has been shaped by the strong wind coming off the Irish Sea. Unsurprisingly it's known locally as the Bendy Tree 
. It's about a 40 minute drive from my house. Most of the leaves have been blown off by the same winds that have shaped the tree! Yours truly is standing below it
