Here's your new thread for September!

  • Hi everyone- welcome to September!  What happened to the year, it went so swiftly!  Definitely an autumnal feel in the air…

Enjoy your day wherever you are, and take care of yourselves

  • Good afternoon KrisPy, yes, Autumn is here now. I've really noticed how the nights are drawing in so quickly, dark now at 9pm Scream

I'm expecting a phone call from cardiology this afternoon as I'm having a little heart trouble on exertion.

  • Good afternoon tvman

Sorry to hear things a bit difficult for you, but I do hope the call goes well and you get a “fix”.

It is certainly different up here in Scotland from the last time I was here in June - we were only getting about four hours of darkness each night, but sunset now about 9.15!

Unfortunately we head home next week so will miss the splendid colour show across the forests which will start in several weeks time.

    All the best

    KrisPy

  • Cardiology doctor phoned today and said I have Left bundle branch block which means there's a slight delay in electrical conductivity in the left ventricle of my heart. I have a GTN spray for angina and until I get a CT scan of my heart, if I get angina and the spray doesn't help, I have to get to A&E asap. Might take a pacemaker to resolve the problem.

  • There are some National Trust estates near us as well as other forests and in October/November the colours are amazing. Always well worth a visit Smiley

  • Hi tvman

Gosh that sounds like you need to take things easy until you get scanned, do take care!

    All the very best

  • Hi KrisPy, not what I wanted to hear, that's for sure. Although looking on the bright side, there are plenty who are living with pacemakers fitted. At least I know what to look out for and be able to respond.

I've just started digging the ground at the side of my house for laying a new patio and over the winter I'm intending to get half size sleepers to build a new vegetable plot. The decking planks I have are 20+ years old and are falling apart. Might have to go a little slower!
